Rainy days and Mondays
While I am OF Los Angeles, I am not FROM Los Angeles. I am from Denver and grew up experiencing seasons. Four of them to be exact. I love seasons and miss them dearly. I also love to complain about Californians and their inability to drive in rain, stay warm below 65 and their misguided belief that parkas are appropriate in Hollywood. However, I have now been here for 15 years and I am FREEZING today! I am huddled under a huge dog, sleeping baby and warm laptop and I’m still cold! Don’t tell anyone please, I do enjoy my Denver-girl reputation. My 4 year old got to wear his rain coat this morning, you would have thought it was Halloween again he was so excited to put it on. The baby got so confused about the socks I made him wear that he held his toes and cried. I have yet to take off my slippers. Hooray! I am about to go out into the weather with my WAHH (work at home husband), the LA native, and he is wearing so many layers he looks like Stay-Puft. Happy Rainy Monday everyone, make hot chocolate, drag out the extra blankets, try to find your long underwear and enjoy. Because Wednesday it’s supposed to be in the 70’s again.
